So this is what I would like to find out from you great posters! I have a somewhat complicated set-up in my room. I work at a high-end A/V store so I have access to AMAZING deals, aka COST.
I recently purchased a used VPL-VW10HT from a customer of mine, I got the projector, 2 lamps with some time on them, a DVDo iScan Plus, a Sony DVD player, and a RGBHV cable all for $200. I also own a 26" Sharp LCD, a PS3, Toshiba HD-A2, a Wii, and a HD-DVR cable box. So here is what I would like to know from you guys, I am in the market for a new receiver and would like to know what you guys think. I would like something with 4 component inputs, 1 for each of the above listed sources, but i realize that is probably not going to happen.
I would like to be able to have all of those components hooked up and be able to choose weather they goto the projector or the LCD. My last question is if I use component for video of my PS3, will any receiver allow me to use the HDMI, for the DTS-HD MA and DD TrueHD, and the component for the video at the same time? For those of you who do not know, the VW10HT does not have any digital inputs, just RGB/YPbPr/RGBHV, S-Video, composite. My prices range is about $1200 - $1500 retail, I would like to stay with a Yamaha, Integra, or Denon, as that is what we carry where i work. We also carry Sony ES, but unless the new X400 line is a complete 180 from what I've seen before I know that it would be a waste of money!

Thanks as always!

I work at Paulson's Audio and Video, My question is if I hook the PS3 and HD-DVD player up with HDMI, will I still be able to output them via component to the projector. Also my HD-DVD player is the A2, which is only 720p/1080i, so component is really not any different than HDMI expect that is it analog.

No, that is really the only bad thing about teh whole deal, the projector has NO digital input's at all. Just composite, S-Video, and 2 Components (Y/Pb/Pr, RBG, RGBHV). So that is why I am having all of these issues trying to find a receiver that will work for me.

I never knew that there were upgrade cards for projectors! I spent about 45 minutes looking about the projector forum with no luck. Can you point me to any possible threads reating to upgrading my projector for HDMI/DVI, and again my projector is a VPL-VW10HT.
