About once a week, my modem loses the ability to dial into the Replay service. It just dials, and gives the message that the service didn't answer. It does this no matter which local number I try.


A cold reboot solves this every time, but doing that once a week is kind of annoying. Is there another fix that anyone here can suggest to me?

I don't know of a fix for that other than what you're already doing. As an experiment you could try lowering the modem speed to 33.6.

I'll second Mikeyboy's suggestion. I have two Replays, a 2020 and a 3030 (both 60gb now). My 2020 would dial in without fail yet the 3030 on the same phone line and even the same phone jack (splitter) would fail almost 50% of the time.

After lowering the modem maximum connect speed on the 3030 it is now just as reliable as the 2020.
