So heres my probelm, recently my subwoofer/receiver has been outputing a fuzzy bass sound(only from my sub). Almost like my sub is working fine, it has nice base there but sometimes theres a fuzzy kinda sound like its trying to play some high frequency sound. I have a yamaha htr 5130 i think, and infinity TSS-450CHR. It was never like that before. I tryed to use the mic on the receiver to set the settings but there is no change. i never abused my equipment so i dont understand how it could fail. Has anyone ever had this probelm before?

Thanks for any help

If your subwoofer has speaker level inputs you could try using them and see if you hear any difference.

Do you have your receiver crossed over to the sub at the same level you had it before?

If you disconnect your other speakers and play the sub by itself, does it still sound fuzzy?

Can you contact technical support from the sub manufacturer?

So i just tried another powered sub with the receiver. Its not fuzzy. So i can only assume the original sub is blown? i dont understand how it could be. It is damp in my basement so perhaps that caused damage to it.
