I've got the MyHD with daughter card and a Radeon 9500 Pro that has both VGA and DVI out. Currently I use the ATI dongle to convert the DVI to Component and run straight DVI from my daughter card to the TV. When I switch to HD mode it kicks my component offline and turns it back on when I leave HD. I've had some problems tweaking Powerstrip for my Hitachi through DVI, which is why I still bother with the dongle.

I think I've worked through a lot of those and am looking at just looping everything through the single DVI out of the daughter board. Do I want to go DVI out from video card to DVI in on daughter card, or use the loopback cable to go VGA to the MyHD and then out the DVI? Does it matter one way or the other? Will anything be affected?

Thanks,

Why do you use the component connection in the first place? Why not going DVI all the way?

With that said, I simply would go 9500=> DVI => MyHD daughter card => DVI => TV

I guess, I am missing something here... :)

Hitachis are very finicky about their DVI connection... I have a hard time getting a stable desktop timing for it :)
