I am a new member on this outstanding site and am wondering if anyone has run into this problem:

I am running the card on the computer monitor only and after a few minutes with the overlay picture on my desktop the picture locks up. The audio functions fine and when I switch to HD mode the picture is fine as well. I can exit the program and restart it and the same picture appears in the overlay. After machine reboot the overlay works again for a few minutes then locks up again. I have searched this forum and have not run across anyone else with this problem. Any ideas?

Have you tried running at different resolutions? I am no expert, but try various monitor settings, and a clean de-install/re-install with the removal steps listed in the beta and new version release MyHD threads. My new PC I just built jitters on the overlay and I do not know why. It is not that bad, so I live with it. Lock up is real bad! Good thing the overlay quality matters little to me.

Try posting your video card, drivers, and MyHD software version and driver version. There is also a MyHD tech support thread that is a good place to get help from. The more detail you can post, the better. Prevents the long back and forth investigation. :)

Good luck!

Computer Spec:

AMD 2000+

SOYO K7V Dragon Plus Mobo

512MB PC2100 RAM

Leadtek GeForce 3 TI500 64MB Video

Soundblaster Audigy Audio

MyHD TV Card

I am now (as of yesterday) running the 1.60 driver/app and it didn't make a difference. I have done a clean install a few different times. I am thinking it may have something to do with the video card but I wasn't sure. Hoping somebody may have had the problem and resolved it. All of my other drivers are up to date as I religiously check for new versions. I have tried a few different screen resolutions with no help but maybe I should try a few more.

It is not the video card. I had the exact same problem that you had with the lockups. It is an IRQ problem. MyHd does not place nice with MS ACPI. Remove all of your cards except the video card and see if the lock ups go away. The trick to get MyHD to work properly for me was the removal of my SCSI card. I also put the card in the last PCI slot.

I hope this helps.
