I recently aquired a NAD 2140 amp, but cannot find much info on it.

I have read that "is 40 wpc, but it also has an IHF dynamic headroom rating of 3 db, which means it can hit a full 80 wpc on transient musical peaks."

1. Is this previous statement true?

2. Does that mean if I bridge it, it can hit 160 watt peaks?

3. What does the S.L.C. switch on the back do?

4. Which is the ON position for the switches on the back of the unit (S.L.C., Bridging, Soft Clipping)- when the switch is in or out?

5. What's the difference between the LAB IN and the NORMAL IN rca inputs?

Thanks for your help.
