NAD 753 Remote Hangs

I recently purchased the NAD 753 Surround receiver and have it set up with my HDTV and 5.1 surround speakers config. Every once in awhile the remote control fails to work. When I remove the batteries and put them back in, it seems to correct the problem. Anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing the problem? Thanks very much. Jim :confused:

that's just NAD's remotes. Not to worry. Sorry. Try to call NAD - I did, but got no help whatsoever, may be you have better luck. Then try your dealer....That is what I would recommend.

Try a fresh set of batteries, the backlighting on the remote eats them up pretty fast. I got less than a month out of my first set. Download the manual for the remote from NAD's website, will show you how to turn off the lighting or set the time it remains on in seconds up to 9 or 10. With the light off, I'm getting 6 plus months out of the batteries. Other than that, the remote is great.

Well, the batteries seemed to do the trick. I can't believe how quickly the remote drains them. I'll definitely look into turning off or reducing the backlighting. Thanks very much for your help! Jim :)
