I just read freejus's post on pairing his receiver with the Ascend 170's. I am thining about the Ascends for my NAD 2 channel receiver. Does anyone have NAD paired with Ascends? The others I am looking at are some Klipsch and Infinities.

I don't think the Klipsch or Infinities will do the NAD justice as they are not particularly high-end speakers, each being colored in their own way. From what I hear, I'd say for the 340s more than the 170s if you can swing it.

I've had an NAD T752 paired with a full 5.1 setup from Ascend for over two years now, still very happy. If you have any questions, let me know.

I have heard 170's and 340's with a NAD integrated. I think either would be a great setup. If I were to setup an inexpensive two-channel setup, I think a NAD would be at the top of my list.

Since the Ascends are two way how do they handle bass? How do I add a non-powered subwoofer? Can I simply use the B speaker outputs or is it more complicated?
