Norm,
I remember skimming an article within the last month and the comments I saw about one of the NAD DVD players was not that favorable. I forget the model number but the comment was that it was only a "fair" or "average" performer and that it was outperformed PQ wise by other brands costing the same amount of money. I would pass on it and look elsewhere unless you really must have your equipment rack all look the same. NAD DVD players have never been known for their first class PQ reproduction, unlike the reputation they have in their audio gear.
BTW, excellent choice for a Stereo Amp/Home Theater Reciever! Unlike their video gear, the audio gear is top notch - easily audiophile grade. The T773 follows the tradition of all their recent DD/DTS home theater amps - they have that classic NAD sound that they became famous for back in the '90's with their 2-channel stereo amps. They throw a very deep and immersive soundstage that is just tremendous. I was blown away when I first heard it. I have a previous generation NAD A/V Reciever and I just love it.
