Narrowed the speaker choice, any input?

Hello all,
First off i would like to thank this forum for the TON of useful knowledge and reviews. I would also like to apologize for the same question asked since the dawn of speakers.

After much discussion, begging, purses and begging i have the green light and support to upgrade our current family room movie spot. The last on the list is speakers. I have narrowed it down to a few choices and would love some input before pulling the trigger this weekend!

The room is dedicated to movies/gaming and im looking for a 5.2 setup to start. Measurements are 20ft wide, 22ft long and vaulted exposed beam ceiling to 18ft or so. The room has all windows and doorways heavy curtained and potential for more minor sound work to come. I will likely expand to add elevation speakers in the new year.

Being in Canada i have auditioned a few speakers but unfortunately not all on the list. Receiver is to be determined but most likely the Denon x4500. Subwoofers i have chosen the 2x SVS PB1000
In no particular order

Paradigm(was my go to 10+ years ago,not sure they are the deal they once were)auditioned, wife enjoyed, i enjoyed but was not blown away. The center was not available for demo)

PB1000s are a good choice for HT, but the SVS Ultras would be totally wasted with them already doing the low end and you doing 100% HT i.e. no music.

I'd get the Chanes from your list, by a country mile...best bang for the buck, at least before Canadian taxes/customs kick in.

However, the best deal all around in Canada would be the NHT SuperOnes from Amazon.ca, they are somehow 50% off US retail prices...at such low prices you can get them all around for an identical soundstage, and you can even use their smaller brother the SuperZeros as Atmos speakers on-ceiling if desired.

I have a pair of the Chane A1.4s and really enjoy them. The foam port plugs are a nice option if/when you want them. For a small speaker they have some low end which balance them well tonally. I also have an SVS sub, but the PB-2000. I find it more than adequate in my 11x25x8 room. With an additional 200W RMS, the extra money is worth it, especially for your room size.

I would demo some PSB speakers if you can. Very underrated and offers a lot of performance for $.

They're practically available everywhere in Canada

PSB Imagine bookshelves seem to get great reviews but how is the center?

I don't know what province you're in, but if you have a 2001 audio near by, dropping in to listen to PSB and Kef maybe worth the trip. You also might want to inquire if Sonicboom audio or Summit hifi offer the same 45 in home trial and bill of rights on SVS speakers and subs as they do in the US.

I can not speak for the center -- but Crutchfield/Ca is a way to test in home --

Speakers are like sexual preferences. What someone else likes might not do it for you. Narrowing things down by price, desired set-up, HT, music and the fidelity of the source material is helpful...and so is knowing whether you have a preference for three ways vs two ways, the type of tweeter you prefer...dome, horned, CD, ribbon or even full range will make a difference in making your final choice. The single best way for you to be most satisfied is to get two or three of your top contenders in your space for comparison. Yep, it ain't always easy, cheap or convenient BUT its better than upgrading two or three times hoping for lucky audio nirvana next time, when a in-room comparison would have given you certainty of your preference the first time rather than someone telling you what they would do. Let your ears decide.
