Same art... Same transfer? I notice it has the Studio Canal logo on the side, so I am wondering if it's all been sourced from them.

BTW, I never even heard of this movie, was it low budget or something.

How about now?

Now that Lionsgate seems to be releasing Studio Canal movies pretty regularly, they need to release Highlander over here asap..

It was a bit overshadowed by this other vampire movie that came out around the same time called The Lost Boys. Its always had a nice cult following though.

One of my favorite films ever!

I wish Blue Underground had aquired all these old Studio Canal titles (Red Heat, Angel Heart, Basic Instinct, Rambos, etc.). They have been doing a fantastic job presenting their catalog.

I am never buying a Studio Canel disc again.

This week I got Near Dark, La Haine, and Angel Heart.

Near Dark is a mess, there is so little detail, La Haine has had some very mild DNR but the ammount of EE is beyond a joke.

Angel Heart is ok, bar an old master it looks pretty good

Oh noes... ;(

Do you know how the "La Haine" compare to the Criterion DVD...? And do anyone know if "Angelheart" is regionlocked?

Bad news indeed. Guess I'll stick w/ the upscaled DVD.

The (Image) laserdisc by the way (back in the day) sold out very quickly (low print run) and was very rare. I still own it. I remember it going for $150.00 used (should have sold mine). And the quality was terrible. But we were just glad to have it at all. The DVD release was a revelation.
