I have a 42MP3 with a Pioneer 737 DVD player (progressive scan) plugged into it.

The picture is all distorted and squished when viewing a PAL DVD over the component inputs. the colours are also not right - there is loads of green. Watching PAL dvd's over SVideo is perfect.

When viewing a NTSC disc it is perfect in both interlaced and progressive mode.


I have tried every setting under the sun and still cant get it working!!!

when i go to the frequency when watching a PAL disc it shows 1080i which is totaly WRONG!


Please can you offer any assistance.

Try checking the output settings of your DVD player. That was my problem.

Loads of green sounds like you have YPrPb going into RGB.


Go to Menu->Options->Select Input 2 to be YPrPb instead of RGB.
