Does ANYONE have a 6PG/9PG set-up manual they could e-mail to me?

All the sites I have found to download this manual actually have the 6200/9200 manual, which I have discovered is just different enough to cause me concern. I would REALLY like to have the correct manual for my projector and I don't have the $30 or whatever NEC wants for them.

Thanks!

Hi Wasco,

I'm in the same boat as you, I can't find the service manual for the regular 9pg just the 6200/9200. It had me a bit confused looking at the manual and not seeing the same menu options on the projector. Worse yet, I had to flip the setup from ceiling to floor mounted and I'm still not sure if I swapped all the leads properly because they aren't labeled the same and use different colour wires.

I have the user manual for the 6pg/9pg if you want it but it's pretty useless for setup purposes, you really need the service manual. Somebody must have it, they were all available to download on NEC's site until they pulled all their CRT content. If I find it somewhere I'll let you know.

Regards,

I may have the PDF you need if you're not really looking for the service manual. The service manual is over a hundred pages with fold out 11x17" schematics. It cost over $125 to get a hardcopy from a dealer.

But the PDF file I have for the NEC 6200/9200 contains the settings for ceiling vs. desktop, front vs. rear, focus rings, screen size, angle, and has other useful information, such as set-up and a walk-through of all the user menus. The 6200 was the 6PG-Extra or something like that, and the 9200 was the 9PG-Extra. I have a 9100, the 9PG+. I believe these projectors are very, very similar, but Curt Palme could tell you off the top of his head about any differences, I'm sure.

If that's what you want, I'd be happy to email it or post it. The ACE file (Winace compression) is 500K. The uncompressed PDF is 648K.

Hey Yogaman,

I have the 6200/9200 manual you speak of - but thanks for offering to post it. I'm sure I could get by with it, but there are numerous "little things" different between the models that make the set-up a little more confusing than it already needs to be. Call me a wimp, but I haven't had a CRT before this and my current comfort level with "tinkering" is very fragile!

Thanks everyone for the support!
