Nick,

AFAIK the phase adjustment is available only on the 'plus' and 'extra' versions of the 9PG. I own a 9PG+ and there is a separate button on the setup remote.

You may need to be signed on to the PG with the service passcode of 2580 in order for it to show up in the Adjustment menu.

Yes. Same for all PG's. It should be noted, you MUST have ANOTHER passcode registered FIRST(any other passcode will do, as long as its NOT 2580), sign out(back to user mode),THEN sign in with the service passcode.

Ok, a bigger explanation.

On NEC's you have the OPTION of establishing a passcode. You do not have to passcode protect the setup, you have the OPTION to. Therefore, in order to use the service passcode, FIRST you must establish ANY passcode. After you've established whatever passcode you choose, THEN you exit and return to "user" mode. Now when you try to access the adjustments you will be asked for a passcode. This is when you use the service passcode. If you can access your adjustments without being prompted for a passcode, then you have never established one, and you will NEED to do this BEFORE you can use the service passcode. Clearer ?

Paul,

Much clearer, thank you for taking the time to educate the newbie. :)

Now, another question.

What if there is already a pwd but you don't know it?

How can you replace or erase the current password?

Thanks for all the help.

If there is already a passcode and you don't know it, then use the service passcode to change the previous passcode.2580
