Hi all - I recall reading somewhere a while ago that the NEC HT1000 does not support HDCP correctly (the manual says it does). Now I'm in the market for an upcoverting DVD player and want to make sure a player like the Denon 2910 or Pio 59avi will work correctly with the HT1000.


Would appreciate if someone could shed light on this?

I have a 2910 running with my HT1000, and it is working perfectly.


I'm not sure if there were any issues with older formware, bit the current 1.06.2/1.10 is workinf flawlessly with the 2910 via S-video, Component 480i/480p and DVO 480p/720p/1080i.


If you were thinkgin about a 2910, take the leap. You will not be disappointed.

Thanks... I'm still debating between the 2910 and 59av, having seen quite a few threads on various issues with the 2910. If I can find a 2910 at a B&M store around here I'm thinking I may pick one up to check out for myself.
