Hi to all!

Need some info on the minimum rear clearance for the HT-1100.

The NEC's exit vent is infront while the air in-vent is on the side, so, how many inches can I set-up the HT-1100's rear from the wall? Don't have much space(13.25ft) to work with, so I'm trying to get as much FP-to-screen distance.

Also, at 11 feet viewing distance, with light controlled room, would a 100" diag. HDTV-format Stewart Firehawk be too big? I like it BIG, but will I see artifacts, noise, imperfections of image, rainbows more than if I had a 92" diag size screen?

Thanks much.

You shouldn't need anymore space in the rear than what is neded to plug in your cables. All the heat is at the front of the PJ.

My screen is 92" wide and I sit between 13 and 14 feet away. I think you'll be okay at 11 feet, but some may see the pixel grid at that distance. I don't at 12 feet, but just start to see it as I move closer to the screen.

Correct. Assuming there is sufficient heat dissapation around the unit, you can put it pretty close to the wall. Keep in mind the connections are all back there so it would be best to leave enough room to see them in case you need to change something.

That's good news, putting it closer to the wall with enough clearance for the cables. Is 6" clearance from wall to rear of unit ample?

Looking forward to a new NEC HT1100 soon.

Thanks guys.
