Thinking about getting the NEC 150 DLP projector and need some help figuring out screen type and size. The rooms dimensions are 15.8' x 14.5'. Projector will be mounted and back of room on ceiling. Room can be made very dark. Will be watching DVD's and sat. programs mostly. Sizes and why would be great.

Thanks in advance,

Jim

A few more variables will help.

How far back will you be seated while viewing?

Are you considering motorized or fixed position?

Are you talking about the NEC LT150? If so, try this link. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

EDIT: Sorry, this was a bit terse. The LT150 is a fixed lens (no zoom) device so the distance you mount it away from the screen COMPLETELY determines the image size.

I think you would want to consider a screen with some gain to it, as the LT150 is not a bright projector. The thing to watch though is high gain screens are very directional and the screen material usually requires that the source comes from roughly the same direction as the viewers, so a ceiling mount situation will not work well in that case.
