Hi,

I was playing a video (mpg, avi, or a DVD) in a window. I use a NEC LT150 projector. Everything shows up - the windows, text, etc, but NOT the video. The video shows up on the laptop fine, just doesn't show up on the projector.

Anyone now why?

WinXP home, WinDVD, and Microsoft media player.

TIA

I had this problem, too....but it's been awhile so I'm not too sure I recall exactly what I did.

It's a laptop issue, not a projector issue

IIRC, you want to set the video resolution of your laptop to the native 1024x768 of the LT150. Also

try to toggle the video output mode so that the only image is the one on the projector (on my Dell I8100, that's the F8 key). Also, try using the

full screen mode for the WINDVD window so it's the only thing displayed.

I hope this helps.

cheers,

I encountered this EXACT problem last night with the AE300 and a friend of mine's laptop.

Just port all video to the projector (external monitor) only. Do not view it on both the laptop and the projector. Only the projector will make it work.

With IBM Thinkpads (T2X, for instance) I've found you need to boot the

laptop with the extenal video device connected, THEN you can select

the external display (and often both displays).

thanks for all the help.

I found out that the problem was with WinDVD. I installed PowerDVD and everything works per se.

> DVD show up all the time (both on the notebook and on the LT150)

> Mediaplayer allow shows up only when LT150 is used (no notebook).

Strange...
