I was wondering if I can use PG 6100 tube to PG-6200 projector

And I think the peak lumens of 6100 is 800 againts 6200 (1000)

and i am more confused about the crt pin configuration. Is it the

same?

Any idea would be appreciated

Thanks.....

Hate to contradict the expert, but the last blue crt I ordered from NEC for a PG 6000, I was sent a PG 6200 blue tube, directly from NEC, as a direct replacement substitute. The green crt in the PG6200 has a longer neck, but the red and blue are identical, as far as my practical experience shows. BUT I AM NOT A TECH, just a hobbyist.

I have also heard from several other sources that you can indeed swap the tubes, providing nothing touches. I haven't done so... yet.... but if I have a chance to try it, I intend to. I really want to build a PG9100LC

Hi guys,

Can I drop XG750 red and blue into a PG9200????? I *think* that the red and blue from the XG's have longer neck than the PG9200 tubes, can someone confirm for me or know???

Thanks,

Supposedly this has been done by Hammerhead. But the brackets that hold the CRT's must be re-drilled to move everything forward.

But don't blame me if it does not work. Darell at Hammerhead claims it does, and I find this interesting myself. But I do not have the tubes to try it with.

OK, one more time, the GREEN tube from a 6/92000 is EXACTLY the same as the XG tubes, but the red and blue have shorter necks and are EXACTLY the same as the PG 6/9000, and PG 6/9100 tubes. While I haven't tried it, I would bet $1000. you can put the red and blue from an XG into a PG IF there is enough physical room for the LONGER NECK.

I HAVE put an XG 750 green tube into a PG 6000. The neck board was crammed right up against the back of the chassis, you could never ship one like that, it would likely snap the neck, BUT IT WORKED NORMALLY, so there is NO reason to think a set of XG tubes wouldn't work normally in a PG6/9200 chassis AS LONG AS THEY FIT.

I would bet XG tubes will fit into the PG6/9200 chassis, since the green tube is the SAME as the XG green, long neck and all.

Well, that settles it then. I have an XG green tube here, I think I'll try it in a 6000.
