In December of '02 I bought an NEC HT1000 from the good folks at AVS. It was and still is a great projector and a remarkable value. The color wheel on mine gradually got noisier and last week I decided I should get it repaired. Thinking the warrantee was one year I kicked myself for waiting too long and called NEC for an estimate. They told me it was still under warrantee (well, I DID read the manual when I first got it) and to send it in. I shipped it on the 22nd (next day delivery) and I got it back on the 28th! In an era of short warrantees and long turn-around time NEC has it backwards - a very nice situation for their customers. :)

I just had my LT240K replaced when I had a small problem. I had a new one at my door the next morning. Packed the old one in the box that they sent the new one in and put the shipping label (that they supplied) on the box.

They arranged for the pickup and away it went.


WOW! New bulb to boot! :)
