Picked up a few well used NEC units today - XG110.


100% total newbie to CRT's - first problem seems like it will be this passcode issue.


How do I get past this or reset it and in doing so will it wipe out all the setup?

hello,


i have the XG 85-hopefully it helps.

Go to "adjust" menu(via the installation remote control"

and the to passcode(enter)

then "disable"

That should work.

I think you just need the universal passcode of 3151. I believe you would still need a passcode to disable the passcode option.

Ok - I will try that - at this stage I just set it up svideo and dvd to canvas makeshift 3 minutes screen to verify its operational - so far so good - better than I had hoped -


Looks like I may have a winner once I get it setup right and with a good screen surface and an HTPC at 1280 rez.

Thanks - now will need to find out how to work around 4:3 burn possibly on two tubes.
