Hello, i have this projector.

I want connect it with a Pioneer 470 DVD using de RGB outputs, but mi proyector have the RGBHV BNC inputs.

Can I do this or I need a transcoder?

Thanks.

I am spanish, i will write in my language too:

Si alguien habla español, mejor.

Quiero conectar mi DVD Pioneer 470 con la salida de componentes (RGB), pero el proyector tiene entradas RGBHV de tipo BNC y no se si el cable que necesito es uno de tipo RCA por el lado del DVD y BNC por el lado del proyector, ademas me han dicho que necesito el transcoder, no se puede conectar directamente?

Gracias.

Hi Bubu,

The 470 has RGB and Sync output on the SCART (Peritel) connector. Unfortunately, the Sync levels on the SCART connector are not compatible with the XG's requirements. You need one of these (or an alternative):

If you are keen to see a picture, as a temporary measure you can use the S-Video output. The XG will accept this (I have an XG-75 too). I say temporary because you will get a much better picture via RGB, S-Video will not do the projector justice.

Good luck! :)

Erm - that link doesn't work properly.

Click on "Other AV Converters" at the lower left, then enter "Syncblaster" in the Word search box and click Go.

Then scroll down to item SGB22
