Hey all! How are you?

So I'm in the market for a projector. We'll be using it at art galleries/shows, but if it can also work as a proper movie projector that would be great also. I think we can spend up to $3k, but not sure it's necessary?

Not sure if we need long or short throw. It seems like short throw would maybe be more versatile in case we're in a cramped space? Sometimes it might have to be behind a column to shoot against a wall that is close to it, etc.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Projectors optimized for presentation and projectors for Home Theater are two different animals. Will one work for both, yes but you will need to compromise one or the other application. A bright laser UST presentation projector is your best solution for the Art show but it all depends on screen size, ambient light and condition of the wall you project on to see if you will get an acceptable image. I don't have any particular model suggestions as I am not up to speed on presentation projectors.
