I have an NEC 50xr5 plasma on order and it will not come with a tuner.

I have a Panasonic dmr-e30 DVR with a built in NTSC tuner.

I have a Panasonic xr55 receiver for my audio.

I have analog cable and, from what I understand, the best way for me to get the local HD channels through my analog cable will be to use a QAM tuner.

I believe the NEC plasma I will be getting should have good video processing abilities so I reckon I wouldn't want anything with a QAM tuner that would try to take the processing job away from the TV?

I need some advice as to what I should get that will accomplish my goal? Product recommendations will also be appreciated. Thanks.

A possible choice is the ContemporaryResearch IP-HDTV. It has a QAM tuner, but I cant seem to find a lot of information about it nor can I find anyone with some experience to share with these products.

Based on the fact you have to go to a high end installer to get it, I'm gonna guess it's pricey. There is a link to look for local installers on their site, see if you have one nearby and give them a call.

None near my locale; anyway, I was hoping someone was familiar with it to let me know how happy they were with it.
