Need a recommendation on a class D 7 channel 100-150Watts/channel

Upgrading from 5.2 to 7.2.4 and need another external amp. I currently use a Rotel 5 channel amp RMB1075 but had my heart set on this below but would like to go Class D if possible. Can't beat the price on this amp but is there anything in the similar price range in class D? 7 X 100-150 Watts/channel? I have all Klipsch so speakers are efficient. Don't need another room heater. Thanks --Greg--

Buckeye Amps is an option. He is an AVS Forum member, as well.

I have heard from many many people that the emotiva XP's-7 are absolutely cold to the touch when running

these should be on your short list

I picked up a couple of 4x800w VTV Pascal-based amps last week and took some temperature readings while playing Jurassic Park III. The VTVs were around 88°F, the Emotiva XPA-7 was around 94°F, and the Denon acting as a pre-amp was around 109°F. LOL Room was around 77°F. The Buckeye amps will probably be in the same neighborhood as the VTV amps. The VTV amps each have their own 20A circuit, but I doubt I'll even come close to using all of that power on tap.

do you like theXPA-7s? I'm thinking about getting them? Also heard there was an issue with their balanced connections messing up the polarity of the speakers...

I have an XPA -7. The polarity on the XLRs are reversed. If you get a phase error on the room correction you can reverse the speaker connections on the amp. Emotiva says they are done that way on purpose. So technically they are not messed up. The polarity on the RCA outputs do not need to be reversed. The Amp runs very cool, very efficient, and is dead silent. No, hum ,hiss, buzz etc..
Consider Crown 8 | 300 amps. I just bought a pair of them for my system. If you buy the 8 | 300N then you'll have DSP as well if you want that.
Here are the DriveCore models. I see the 8 | 300 closing for cheap occasionally used or open box on ebay.

Also consider a small stack of Behringer A800 amplifiers. They tested strongly at ASR for their pricepoint, and you can get them for a pinch over $200 if you shop around. So 8 channels would be less than $1K. They are passively cooled (no fan to make noise), have a good noise ground floor, can go totally dark (no LEDs), and in our blind test were impossible to distinguish between the best amplfier ASR has rated.

Blind test here:

Otherwise Monolith 7 channel amplifiers are the go to, IMO. They are made by ATI and solid offerings. Emotiva makes good amps too, though I wouldn't recommend their processors.

Problem is I am in Canada and we are pretty limited with amp brands here...
