Need a second receiver (<$600)
I need a new receiver as we just added an outdoor living area to the house.
I currently have a Yamaha RX-V679 in my media room running a 5.2 setup (and won't be changing that setup for the foreseeable future). Outside, I plan on having an HDTV and at least 2 speakers (definitive tech AW6500).
My plan was to upgrade the receiver in the media room and put the current one outside...however, I'm not sure I'll be able to upgrade much with a budget of $600. So...
Can anyone suggest a worthwhile upgrade in my price range, or maybe suggest a decent (cheap) receiver for outside? If just a new outside unit, I plan on spending less than $400 (the price I paid for my Yamaha). I don't really want to spend much if I'm not going to get some decent improvement in the media room...we use that room all the time.
Also, I'd like to apologize in advance if I'm missing any important information...this is my first post - though I've been hanging around these parts for years
