I’ve been reading the posts regarding the SVS speakers and they seem to be pretty decent for the price. My interests are in music 40% and movies 60%.

My problem is that my living room is so small: 10 ft (front to back) x 12 ft (side to side). I’m afraid the SVS subwoofer (PB10) will be too big in size to fit into the room. The sub seems gigantic and I really want a small footprint when buying speakers. Does anyone have any recommendations for a more compact sub that still fits within the price of the PB10 (around $400) and would make a good match to the SBS-01?

Why not get one of the cylinder subs from SVS, they have a small footprint and perform amazingly. Dennis

Or a used Rocket UFW-10 ($600 retail, $400~ish used.) It's very decent for HT and for your room size will prove more than adequate, and is only 13x13x13 inches. 40% music is pretty significant, and the Rocket is actually better for music than any of the SVS so I hear...

The Hsu STF-1 would be worth considering.
