Hi, my first post here. I'd like to play back normal (3D-) Blu Rays as well as a variety of video formats off my NAS. There are some old files in DIV3 (the "hack"-predecessor of xvid/divx) which I really don't want to convert. They often cause playback problems except on an old divx capable Philips DVD player with MediaTek chipset. I'd like to retire that fossil to get rid of SCART once and for all (no HDMI). On the other hand I'd like to play back current 3D mkv files (AVC, VC-1, MPEG4, MPEG2). DVD/BD menu support (doesn't matter whether from DVD/BD folder structure or .iso) would be nice, too. I know, most current players are advertised to support "everything and more" but from experience (I own a Samsung BD-E6100 which I often use as an excuse for a streamer) I think I'd rather ask all of you guys.
Does it have to be the Oppo (BDP-103 or a second hand BDP-93) / is it really that good? Or does a Playstation 3 help me here?
