Need advice for a receiver upgrade....

I currently have an Outlaw Pre/Pro w/ old-school Carver amps, a 125x5 and a 250x2 which I've had for going on 3 years now. The speaker system is Klipsch RF-7 system but instead of the RSW-15 I have a Sunfire Signature EQ Subwoofer. I like the idea of the auto EQ the Denons have and would like to move to one of them. I simply don't find the sound satisfying. Almost like to much is going on when I listen to music or watch a movie ( I guess I might only know what I mean by that).


I guess my question is does a Denon 3805 or higher have the potential of better sound with this speaker system? Input would be great and I know what you might think sounds good I may not. But I'll take advice and opinions either way.
