Did you run the speaker calibration on the Sony? It should set all of your crossover frequencies and volume for each speaker. You can then fine tune from that point if needed.

1. If you want "a full bodied front stage with very clear vocals when people are talking" you need speakers that are better matched to each other than what you have.


2. Read the owner's manual - thoroughly.


3. Run the automatic setup.

Just a note, spoken voice comes from the center channel, take a measure to ensure the center channel is set-up properly.
