I have narrowed my searches down to the Onkyo 601, H/K AVR-325, and H/K AVR-230.


They will be connected to Polk RM6600 series speakers.


After tax and shipping, the 601 is $449, the 325 is $449, and the 230 is $380.


Since I will not be using 7.1, is there any reason to get the AVR 325 over the AVR 230? They seem to basically have the same features and wattage.


Any help is appreciated... thanks!

consider 7.1 if you already have the speakers. otherwise, you're going to be spending even more money. a well setup 5/6.1 is superior to a compromised 7.1.


you can find the onkyo for less and then it's a toss up between that and the h/k.
