I remember a time when a 32" TV was a pretty big TV. First off, I'd like to apologize for starting yet another thread that could potentially debate 720p vs 1080p. I would really like to clear up a few things that I am unsure of. I currently have a 46" 1080p samsung I bought a few years ago. I absolutely love it!!! Now I'm in the market for a smaller TV, probably 32", for my office. I will primarily be using it to play PS3 games. I'll be sitting pretty close to the tv, about 3 to 5 feet away. I've seen the chart that shows the optimal viewing for different size tv's (32"- 50"=1080p, 70"=720p). However, I read somewhere, or someone told me sometime, that on TV's under 40", you can't see a difference between 720p and 1080p. I think it was a best buy rep, so I took it with a grain of salt. Is this true? I see they have 1080p 32" tv's, so I have to assume that you CAN see the difference.
I guess my ultimate question is 720p or 1080p 32" TV? The only reason I would get a 720p would be for cost savings. If I will see a difference then I'll just spend the extra cash and get the 1080p.
