Need advice....

I'm looking for ideas for a stop gap DVD player till HD DVD 0r Blu Ray come of age. The display is a Sony KV-36XBR-450 so connection will be via component. My current player is an ancient Toshiba non progressive. Decent audio quality would be nice.
