hi all,

i am about to buy a projector.

i am leaning towards DLP

my room is 17x14, blacked out totally and enclosed

is the optoma hd20 as good as Mitsubishi HC3800

also is the epson LCD 8350 better than the two? (LCD vs DLP)

My biggest thing is picture quality. I want to look at HD TV channel and get a picture like some of the HD LED at Best Buy.

I will watch Bluray, TV, Video Games on this setup

My setup will likely be hanging from my 8 ft ceiling and stationary.

I have a total of 17ft from front to back

wall that screen will be on is a total of 14 feet wide and 8ft tall.

is this room big enough to view it without hurting the eyes?

All 3 are good entry level projectors, I would recommend reading the full reviews of each and see how they compare for you.

For me, I prefer the 8350 over the others in this category.

IMHO, even with the best light control, flat black paint, etc. Non of these will "look" like a Good LED LCD. A PJ delivers a different view, and atmosphere.
