First off, I should tell you guys that I'm an AV noob (I'm sure that will soon be obvious)!

We have a Sharp Aquos TV (with DirecTV Receiver) and a Blu-Ray Player in our bedroom. Up to now we have been using the TV's (crummy) speakers for listening to both HDTV and Blu-Ray disks. Well we just bought a Yamaha YSP-1100 and although I've read the manual, I still need some cabling advice.

I'm planning to continue using HDMI cables to carry the video (from DirecTV Receiver and Blu-Ray Player) to the Aquos TV, but I'm confused as to which cables to use to carry the audio to the YSP-1100 (which has 1 Digital Coax input and 2 Optical inputs). Should I just use 2 Optical cables, or would it be better to use Digital Coax for one of the components? If it matters, each of the audio cables will have to be about 12 ft.

Sound quality is supposed to be about the same. Check out monoprice.com for your cables.
