Well, after I have spent a good sum of money on all the equipment for home theater (with all your help I probably saved hundreds) I need one more part. My wall I am projecting image to is painted white (I painted it with flat paint, 'cause hi-gloss wal was just too "shiny") . The image is great, but I would like to get a fixed (or roll-down) projection screen. Right now the image is 7 feet high and 9 feet wide so I guess it would cost pretty big money to get one that size. Anyone know of a good place where I can get those screens cheaper (or even just the material)?

Get yourself a truck and drive over to Cleveland. I offered up the following screen in a thread (see below) a couple of weeks ago. I stopped by the place yesterday and it was still there.


Specifically it's a 12' x 12' Da-Lite matte white with a motor drive. The screen is still sealed in the original wrapper. It listed for about $2000 new. They are asking $200. I think they might even take less.


I don't have any interest in the sale. Just offering it up in the hopes that someone can use it. It's killing me to realize that I paid over $1000 for my screen, and then this thing pops up. If anyone is interested, I wouldn't wait too long. They moved it near their main entrance where everyone can see it.


Bring some big friends. This thing weighs over 250 lbs!
