I guess you don't want the light tunnel I have on order? And I also have a 4805 color wheel on hand. Don't know why you didn't ask me unless you changed your mind.

Are color wheels still available for the 4805? As much as I will move to 720 or 1080, I think that I should wait out all the recent changes in manufacturer ownership, pricing, etc., just wait another couple of months. I missed out on the Infocus X10 closeouts, unfortunately. If I can get some more time out of it, then I can upgrade when the dust settles, or when good deals appear. The money spent will be all good, as my kids often have "theme" backyard parties at night, everyone dressed as a character, and the future hand-me-down 4805 can then show the theme movie outdoors, such as the Big Lebowski, after I upgrade, and we can retire the rear projection set they roll out of the garage. The BenQ w1000 isn't out yet, and that is my price point, so if I can give the 4805 more life, then I can make a large quality jump on my bread and water budget.

Thanks, it is appreciated!

They're still available. I have one left on hand. They're $175 plus shipping.

I believe I have the light tunnel and color wheel still from my 4805, along with some other parts. I believe it's blacked out as well, which helped a bit with the contrast and blacks. I'll have to look for it. I'd sell it for a good price.

Thanks, MTyson, I'll go for just the color wheel from Sheridan, maybe someone else can benefit. Thanks for the offer, though. I got my 4805 as a refurb from Infocus. It still had an issue, which is probably why it was returned to them in the first place. The light tube would brush against the color wheel for the first 5 or 10 secs. of operation. As soon as the lamp started to heat, the whine due to the contact would go away. And it would happen ONLY when it was very cold in my apartment. I took it all apart, found the issue, and also found I had a loose segment of the light tube as well. Let's hear it for Superglue! The wheel gave me another 4 years before it failed due to the abuse. Despite the issues, the 4805 was one of the best purchases I made in view of the all the enjoyment it gave us. Again, thanks for the offer.

Any sp4805 color wheels around?

i've got an entire 4805 with a blown bulb that i could sell you for parts. worked great right up until the bulb exploded. had even just put a new(er) light tunnel in, about 3 viewing hours before it blew. i'll take less than what a new color wheel alone would cost. pm me if you're interested.
