I have a Mac G5 and an archaic 400 disc DVD player. I loooked for a way to play all those VOB files from a digital jukebox without having to spend weeks converting to mpeg4.
After finding the mx7810hd (the idea of having a TB to store dvd files was fantastic to me), I started down a long path. I had no idea. I have spent hours upon hours reading and researching. I need to find some resolve.
I have it narrowed down to PCH (sounds like internal drives get too hot), mdx-1000 (not sure if it will play vob's or how good the playback functionality is), WD HD TV or the before mentioned mx780HD.
What do I need to drag n drop vob sets from a mac connected USB 2, have a good GUI, and good playback functionality?
