I'm looking for a DirecTV receiver that has the following features:

1) Displays S-Video, composite, and Component/DVI at the same time (no need to switch so recording can be done.)

2) Has a RS232 Port that can control the receiver. (Huge plus as I can write my own drivers for it providing there's sample apps, or protocol available.)

3) Does OTA DTV (Preferred...but not required)

Ideas anyone?

Check the sticky thread at the top of this forum concerning STB synopsis for 2003. If what you want exists, you'll find it here.

No such Directv receiver exists. Probably the closest you can come is the Samsung SIR-TS-160 that provides std. def. video via the S-Video and composite (e.g, allowing a connection to a regular VCR) at the same time it can provide HD out via either RGB, component or DVI. No RS232 interface for control.
