I have a brand new Mits HC-8000 projector that I am installing in a new home's theater room. I already have the brand bailed down = Carada Brilliant White. Due to ductwork and wifey limitations, the projector is stuck in it's approximate 9 foot distance to the screen with no room to move back further to get a larger picture. On max zoom, I measure 89 inches diagonally for an image shot onto the wall. How much spill should I allow on the sides of the screen into the velvet when determining the size of screen to order? If max zoom is 89", should I be safe and order an 87" screen or could I get an 88"? Previous owner took his equipment when I bought the home but I know he had a Mits HC4000 and an Elite 84" screen.
