Ok here the problem I'm having i have a Hitachi 51 TV that does 1080i .. Now the TV does not have a HDMI port but i have everything going threw the Denon rec. out to TV using HD Component cables all going threw VID 1 on my TV set. Now i have a Latop PC that has a HDMI port that i connect from my Laptop to my Denon rec. now my laptop picks it up fine and i set it to dual monitor (Clone) so when i play my Movies from my laptop i want them to come over my TV set. Now the problem is i can't seem to find a HDMI setting on my Rec. so that it will show up on my TV. Can anyone help me out here on what setting i might be missing or what i need to do to get this working? I been working on this for hours.

I don't think the reciever will take HDMI in and output componet. It will take componet in and output it as HDMI. There is a digital input/output setup section on the reciever. You owners manual should give this info. I have the Denon 887 model and believe they are similar.

Can't seem to find the Manual. So there no way for me to do this than? That will kind of stink if this really is the case. i been trying to figure a way to watch my Movies from my Laptop to my TV but can't seem to figure out how to do it.
