I'm new to HT systems and want to get a sub-$300 system to complement a Sony 46V5100. I want to have a sound system that's more powerful and better quality sound than the TV speakers, preferrably with surround sound (without having to sacrifice much in the way of price and sound quality). I will connect a PS3 and an HD cable box to the system (with HDMIs). The TV is in a 10'x15' room, it will be facing the wall 10' away.
So far I've narrowed my search to a soundbar (HT-CT100) and an HTIB 5.1 system (SS360/2300 - it's my understanding the difference between the two is purely cosmetic). Are there any better products I should look at in this price-range (
