I'm looking to find an inexpensive TV ($250 or less) with good viewing angles - both L to R, and from below. The TV will be about 8 feet off the ground, with the main viewing area about 8 feet away. The dimensions of the cabinet are approximately 23" wide and 18.25" tall. Should fit most 22" TVs, or perhaps the hard-to-find 24" size. Other than fitting the cabinet, and the viewing angle, I'm not that concerned about other features.
I'm having a hard time locating one that fits the bill in local stores. I can find plenty of 26"+ models that fit the viewing angle criteria. Some of those have smaller versions, but I cant locate them locally to check in person -- and some of them I've been able to eliminate due to online reviews. It seems once you dip into the 22" size or smaller, good viewing angle from below is harder to find.
The Vizio E##0VA line is a good example. Located a 26" locally that performed well from below, but no 22" version in the store. Found a review online that says the viewing angle for the 22" was not good. argh.
Any suggestions?
