I've got a pair of Paradigm Studio 20's that are less than a year old. Lately I've noticed some distortion in loud female voices and orchestral music in movie sound tracks (playing well below reference). I've isolated the distortion to the left speaker. Can somebody offer me some pointers on pinning it down to a particular driver (woofer or tweeter)? I'd like to be prepared when I contact the dealer and Paradigm for replacement.

Try swapping channels to see if the distortion stays on the left. If it doesn't, the speaker isn't at fault.

Assuming that it is the speaker. How do I figure out which driver is distorting?

if you want to determine what speaker is distorting, assuming amplification isn't at fault, I would probably try putting the speakers at a low volume and then listen to each driver with my ear close to it. First you should make sure if the speakers are connected properly, check your amplifier connections and then try the system with another source that has female vocals.
