Hey everyone,

I'm planning where to put my components in my new loft, and it's got 16' high ceilings, so vertical height is not an issue. That being said, floor space is at a bit of a premium, so I was hoping to find something that's simultaneously nice looking and quite tall. Unfortunately, my searching so far has wound up finding nothing much higher than 45" or so (like this ) if it's nice looking, or if it's tall it just looks like it belongs in a data center. This will be a prominent part of the living room, so looking stylish is paramount.

Anyone have any ideas if anything like this exists? I'm hoping for it to be at least 6' tall, if not taller. Obviously the heavy components would only be on the bottom several shelves, the upper shelves would be for decorative things and media.

Thanks!

Hi Tamale. Don't know how handy you are, but let me introduce you to my ole' buddy 80/20.

They make a wide variety of structural channeled aluminum that can be easily cut and connected to make just about anything you can imagine.

Some of this: http://www.amazon.com/80-20-SERIES-T-SLOTTED-EXTRUSION/dp/B001F0G648/ref=pd_sim_indust_29?ie=UTF8&refRID=1ASMQQNSCQNHZYQTVPSS

some prefinished shelving attached over the top to make it look like furniture and some tempered glass shelves from a local glass fabricator may suit your unique requirements.

Or..........try reinforced stacking of some IKEA ?
