Hi,

I am finishing the basement and planning to put projector and 120" AT diag screen, the room size 15 x 20 x 8 and planning 5.1 - with in walls, my budget is 1500 for 5 speakers (already have SVS sub), amplifier will be emotiva xpa 5 and oppo 103 as a source, listened to some speakercraft, b&w, sonance at local best buy, like sonance.

Looked around what else is there searched the forum and came across few recommended by others like

Triad (out of budget)

Atlantic technology

Definitive technology

Sonance

Noble fiedility

The more I read more I get confused
.

Has anyone compared any of these speakers and can recommend one over the other.

Really appreciate any feedback.

Regards

Thanks, when I listened to All other speakers including b&w, ml, speakercraft in magnolia .. The sonance were better than others especially with vocals, very open, will see if I get any more feedback otherwise sonance will be my 1st choice as well.

Sound is subjective, & what sounds good in a demo room can sound totally different in your room.. I have B&W in walls and they sound great. Why do you want in walls?? My recommendation is stay away from in walls, you have to spend a lot of $$ to get quality speakers. If I can do this all over I would not have done in walls..

Hey neighbor. If I had to rank them I would have my top 3:

1. Triad

2. Atlantic Technology

3. Deftech UIW RLS

Due to budget, I went with the Deftech speakers. Speakers are subjective, but I preffered Deftech to Sonance. I would definitely try to stick with in-wall speakers that have engineered enclosures.

I do own Speakercraft speakers upstairs (AIM series) and find the Deftech speakers to be on a whole different level in terms of audio quality.

I am using an AT screen with 3x Deftech UIW RLS II speakers behind it. If you are near Maple Grove drop me a PM if I can help.

I installed these and I am very happy with them. The designer left speakercraft and started his own line.
