Hi,

I am trying to gain control of the lights in my family room, kitchen and dining room. I need 1000w dimmers due to my loads. I want to go with a harmony 1100 if possible. Here is what I now know after some research.

1. Harmony is not z-wave enabled ( as far as I know only the nevo is) The remote needs to control my audio/video as well.

2. The switches are spread out so I don't have line of sight for IR and there is no way to run an IR emitter to the locations.

I looks like the vizia rf would be a good fit but does anyone make a zwave remote like the harmony that does not cost 1k. Or perhaps another dimmer manufacturer that will work.

I also want the capability of doing lighting scenes. Which the vizia can do.

Any advice?

Research Lutron RadioRA2.

Significantly cheaper than 'Classic' RA.

Or look at gettting a URC remote. They can control URC dimmers via RF. The URC dimmers are made by Lutron.

And yes, you can do scenes and IIRC, they come in 1000W models.
