I have the 42'' Olevia LCD 342i. Its about 4 months old and every once and a while when I turned it on it would display the logo and then go black. I would then turn it off again and turn it back on and all would be fine. But now it shows the logo when I turn it on and then goes black everytime! No picture, no sound, nothing. I checked all the power cable and even replaced them and tried new outlets. No luck. I really dont want to go through the hassle of replacing it. Any help would be awesome!

I have the same problem of powering the 342i up the first time, I will get the logo and then blank. Upon the second time, everything will be OK. I have had the set for 11 months now and I think it started to happen after a couple of months.


I wrote to Olevia and this is the reply that I got.


"This sounds like the TV needs to be reset. This is done by pulling the power cable directly from the back of the unit (not the wall.) once this is done please let it sit for 15 minutes before replacing the power cable into the TV. Also you want to attempt the TV with or with out a surge protector. Also if at all possible attempt the TV in a different power outlet and with a different power cable the power cable is the same one as one with a computer, monitor or fax machine."



I tried their recommendations but I am still stuck. Let me know if you have a fix! Thanks!
