I have a theatre room i am building and have three choices for sub. My equipment is a 3808ci, xpa-3 for fronts and center which are Def Tech 2002's and a 2500 center in a 1500 cubic foot room. I also have a Def Tech Reference and an Velodyne Optimum-12 sub. Here is three scenarios I am debating. Which would you choose? 95% movies, 5% music.

A. Keep what I have and have the Def Tech and Opti-12 running below 80hz and the rest of the LFE going to the powered subs on the 2002's.

B. Sell the Ref and Opti-12 and get a Seaton sub.

C. Sell the Ref and Opti-12 and get a pair of refurb Def Tech 7000's on ebay. (this option intrigues me but I am wondering if I would be better off with BP10's and a seaton sub for a little more money)

Need to decide quickly so your opinion would be greatly valued.

Thanks,

Wes

I'm fairly certain that the Seaton Submersive will outgun any of the other combinations you were thinking about.

That's what I am thinking too but getting a pair 7000's at a third of msrp intrigues me.
