I pick up a pair of used paradigm atom v.5 speakers. One sound really good & the other has a woofer that cut off & on really quickly. I removed both tweeter & woofer and bypass the crossover. Tweeter works okay, then tested the woofer & problem was still there cutting off and on. I did an ohm test on the woofer when moving the woofer by hand the ohm meter cut off & on. I know the woofer needs to be replaced but how can I test a crossover to see if it in working order. Or I'm I okay to just buy a new woofer.

My guess is the crossover is OK. You won't damage the woofer if the crossover has an issue like you could the tweeter. Sounds like a fault where the lead in wires attach to the vc. Just had to replace a Dayton rs150 for that same problem.
